KOI X CACAO BARRY
KOI Dessert Bar is paying homage to the origins of chocolate with a stunning, limited-edition creation, launching at the smooth Festival of Chocolate in September.
KOI have collaborated with premium French chocolate brand Cacao Barry to create the ‘Cocoa Bean’, inspired by the cocoa plantations in Ghana, West Africa. The dessert celebrates chocolate in its natural form, with an outer layer of vanilla whipped ganache and flambé chestnut with brandy. Crack open the lifelike chocolate cocoa bean and you’ll find roasted Cacao Barry Origin Ghana milk couverture chocolate and caramel cocoa nibs.
The mind-blowing creation is exclusive to smooth Festival of Chocolate for two days only. The festival is Sydney’s premier chocolate and dessert festival, the 2017 edition attracted over 140,000 chocolate-lovers.
KOI Dessert Bar is by helmed by brothers Ronald, Arnold and Reynold Poernomo. The talented trio operate KOI Dessert Bar in Chippendale and sister venue KOI Dessert Kitchen in Ryde.
