Woo Wai Leong has worked hard to understand the reality of both the F and the B in the industry, having been guided in the French style of cooking, and the craft style of cocktail making. Being the first ever winner of MasterChef Asia only solidified his determination to leave a young legal career behind and enter the world of food and drink as a professional.
Together with Marco Pierre White and other members of the MasterChef global family, Leong and Reynold met in Singapore to execute the first ever MasterChef Dining and Bar pop-up in late 2016. They found many similarities in their respective philosophies and styles of cooking. Since then, they have already done another pop-up together in Singapore in early 2017. This will be Leong's first ever collaboration in Australia and he could not be happier than to do it with Reynold and his team at KOI Dessert Bar.
